(Flier Roundup) Southside 220, 2009 — Part 1

Southside 220 was a short-lived venue located in the basement floor of Black Label Tattoo, on U.S. Route 220 in Boones Mill / Roanoke County. It was in operation primarily in 2009, although it may have had a few events in late 2008 and early 2010.
 
Although it was a young and relatively small venue,  the owners were able to book national bands on a regular basis, and the events were generally well-attended. There is no complete schedule of events cataloged that I am aware of, but on Last.FM there is a pretty detailed list of shows that were held at Southside 220. Rumor has it that the venue was closed after an inspection that deemed the building a fire hazard, or perhaps that the tattoo shop didn't have the proper permits to be a music venue. If anyone knows for sure, please contact us and let us know what happened.
