Megadosage

These guys are pretty interesting; wish I knew more. They kinda sound like a frantic old-school punk band with Rob Halford (from Judas Priest) on vocals. Hopefully someone can tell us more about them.

Genre: Thrash Metal / Hardcore

Unknown album (1984/1985?)

1. Rock 'n' Roll: The Devil's Workshop
2. The Shake, Rock 'n' Roll

  3. Formed in Blacksburg by VA Tech students (and dropouts) from the ashes of proto-thrash band Mod Dirge, Megadosage practiced every day and played live mostly VA, NC, and DC. We recorded the tunes above at the Don Zientara's Inner Ear Studios (made famous by the early Dischord releases). We were good friends and gig-mates with Roanoke rockers Blemish on Society, MNP, Luke Pewk, Dixie Carney, Eggbert, and Dave and Mary who eventually became the rhythm section for SCOTS, played a lot with very early COC, Landlords, Happy Flowers, and also w/ Scream and a bunch of others I can't remember. We were starstruck when Jello Biafra called the house one day and called us one of his favorite bands, but probably blew our chance at an alternative tentacles release by giving a braindead interview in MRR. We reunioned for several gigs in 2005 and members played in tons of other bands over the next 30+ years some of us are still playing Here's some vids: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqFD4tqnQ2M ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CrLNPM3VXg ; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPDJgk4p4-Q ;
